Hamilton police search for man last seen over a week ago in west end

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 65-year-old man who was last seen just over a week ago.

Officers say they received reports from concerned neighbours who had not seen Jeffrey Telfer in several days.

Investigators determined that he was last seen captured by video on Nov. 24 walking a red bicycle toward Macklin Street away from 55 Glen Rd.

Telfer is described as white, five-foot-five, thin, around 187 pounds with long grey hair and beard. Police say he was last seen wearing a light coloured backpack, grey/brown sweater, plaid pyjama pants and sandals with white socks. He is said to often wear a baseball cap and has a large hernia for which he wears a support belt.

Hamilton police say they are concerned for his well-being.
