Police seize $1M worth of drugs, cash after 2 arrests in Welland

Niagara police have arrested two suspects and seized just over $1-million worth of illicit drugs and cash.
Officers have been investigating the sale of illegal drugs in Welland since January.
Investigators identified two suspects and executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Quaker Rd. and Goodwillie Dr. on March 30, which led to the arrest of two suspects.
Police found two loaded pistols, around $708,000 worth of fentanyl, over $130,000 worth of cocaine, around $7,800 worth of crystal methamphetamine and $160,000 in cash.

Jonathan Mesrob Zadikian, 34, of Welland has been arrested and charged with a slew of offences including drug trafficking and weapon related charges.
Desiree Nicole Stewart, 24, of Welland has also been arrested and charged with drug trafficking and weapon related offences.
Both of the accused attended a virtual bail hearing on March 31 at a Welland courthouse.
Police say Zadikian was held in custody where he remains. Stewart had been held in custody but was released on April 6 with a future court date of May 4.
