Police seek suspect after armed robbery on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police are searching for a lone suspect after a robbery involving a firearm was reported at a business on the Mountain Friday afternoon.

Officers say that around 4:30 p.m. the suspect entered a business in the area of Upper James Street and Rymal Road West demanding money while brandishing a firearm.

The suspect fled the area southbound with a small amount of cash and was last seen traveling on foot westbound on Malton Drive from Christie Street.

There were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.

The suspect is described as a man, six-foot to six-foot-two with an average build. At the time he was wearing a black and white “Hollister” hoodie, dark pants, a mask, and black shoes with white soles.

Police say at one point, he removed the sweater and was wearing a white t-shirt underneath.

Investigators are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the robbery suspect.
