Police seek man accused of sexually assaulting boy in Niagara Falls store

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a young boy in Niagara Falls Wednesday.

Niagara police say it happened around 5 p.m. inside of a store within the Town and Country Plaza on Portage Road.

Officers say the unknown man allegedly groped the boy while he was shopping with his mother.

The man was last seen running northbound through the plaza.

Investigators describe the 25 to 35-year-old man as having an olive complexion, a medium build, black hair and a thick black beard.

He was last seen wearing a white baseball hat, grey T-shirt, white and black plaid jacket, red track pants with a single white stripe on the side, tan running shoes and a camouflage backpack.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has information regarding this alleged sexual assault is asked to contact investigators at 905-688-4111, extension 1009311.
