Police seek information after shots fired in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police (NRPS) attended a fire call in the area of Senator Dr. and Sterling St. in St. Catharines on Sept. 4 around 2:30 a.m.
After an investigation, there were suggestions that a vehicle was on fire at a residence on scene. The St. Catharines Fire Department was called to put out the fire. Police say there were no injuries as a result.

On Oct. 1, further information revealed there had been a gun shell located at the same residence.
The Forensic Service Unit attended and investigated the matter further and was able to determine there were multiple gunshot holes in the front of the residence.
Detectives in St. Catharines/Thorold with the NRPS have taken over the investigation and are appealing for more information.
Police are asking anyone living or in the area of Mac Turnbull Dr. and Senator Dr. in St. Catharines to check their surveillance and dash cam footage between Sept. 4 between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009381.
