Police seek couple wanted in armed auto theft in St. Catharines

A woman was allegedly robbed of her Hyundai Elantra Saturday evening in St. Catharines by a man and a woman at knifepoint.
Niagara police say they responded to a call of a vehicle theft at around 8:46 p.m. in the area of Drury Crescent and Roehampton Avenue.
Investigators say a woman had their car stolen by a man who had allegedly pointed a knife at her, before demanding the keys to the vehicle.
Officers say a man and a woman who was standing nearby then fled the area together in the stolen vehicle.
Police describe the vehicle as a grey 2012 Hyundai Elantra four-door, with Ontario licence plate number DAJE 458.
Detectives describe the man as someone aged between 18 and 25 years old, five-foot-10 tall, and wearing a black coat and a black backpack with a white design on it.
They also describe the suspected woman as someone aged between 18 and 25 years old, five-foot-five tall, wearing a puffy black coat.
Anyone with information or video is asked to contact police.
