Niagara police are searching for three suspects after more than $7,000 worth of cosmetics was stolen from two Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Niagara Falls.

Police say the first instance of theft happened on Jan. 22 around 4:30 p.m. at a Shoppers Drug Mart on Lundy’s Lane.

A female suspect entered the store and distracted an employee while two male counterparts stole multiple cosmetic items and put them in a black bag.

The trio left the store without paying and reportedly made off with $7,000 worth of cosmetics.

About half an hour later, police say the same suspects are believed to have gone to a second Shoppers Drug Mart location on Victoria Avenue.

The female suspect yet again distracted an employee while the two male suspects grabbed cosmetic items.

Police say staff confronted the suspects and the two men returned some of the stolen merchandise while the woman refused.

All three suspects reportedly fled the area in a white, newer model Jeep Cherokee.
