Winterfest makes its return to the streets of Hamilton this February with more than 70 different events available across the city.

The festival runs from Feb. 2 to 19 and offers a wide range of activities for all ages to experience, including concerts and crafts, drag and dancing, theatre, fashion, and art installations.

Entirely new this year is the area called Winterfest POP, a 10,000 square foot indoor exhibition of pop culture located inside Jackson Square.

It will showcase everything pop culture, from pinball to plush toys, video games to mini putt, and everything in between.

And located on the rooftop plaza of Jackson Square is another zone called the Winterfest HUB which will host three free live concerts, a drag show, light installations as well as food vendors.

The festival wraps up with a Family Day extravaganza on Feb. 19, a free full-day event organized in partnership with the Art Gallery of Hamilton and the Hamilton Public Library.

On Family Day, the art gallery is offering free admission to its new winter exhibitions and there will be several family friendly activities like art and craft projects, face painting, and an indigenous beading workshop.

The City of Hamilton works with Cobalt Connects Creativity and dozens of community-led event organizers to put Winterfest together.

Last year, Hamilton Winterfest was a Festival and Events Ontario Top 100 Festival Award winner.
