Police search for pick-up driver after girl hit in Stoney Creek, hospitalized

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help after a girl was hit by a pick-up truck in Stoney Creek on Monday evening while on her scooter.

The eight-year-old was riding on Barton Street near McNeilly Road around 7:30 p.m. when a maroon-coloured truck towing a boat trailer struck her.

She was sent to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are seeking witnesses and asking anyone with information, dashcam footage or nearby surveillance recordings to contact the station at 905-546-2963.
