Police say motorcyclist killed in Sunday morning Oakville crash

Halton police are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that closed part of Trafalgar Road and Burnhamthorpe Road East in Oakville for several hours Sunday morning.

Officers say that at around 8:52 a.m. Sunday a blue Yamaha motorcycle was driving north on Trafalgar Road when it collided with an black Acura SUV that was attempting to make a left turn onto Burnhamthorpe Road East.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Investigators say the driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Halton Polices’ Collision Reconstruction Unit is now investigating this accident.
