Police pursuit ends in Burlington crash

King Rd in Burlington is closed south of North Service Rd, after a police chase and car crash.

Halton police say an officer was trying to pull over a suspended driver when he took off. After a short chase, the car hit another vehicle.

The driver tried to get out and run, but was arrested with some help.

Chantel Corner of Halton Police told CHCH News, “We had a few civilians who came out of the surrounding businesses here and jump right in, helped out and were able to help the officer in making that arrest, so we went to thank those people for coming out and doing their due diligence today.”

The man and the officer both suffered minor injuries to their hands. The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the other car was not hurt.
