Reports say police attended a St. Catharines home on May 27 and arrested 32-year-old Chaz McLean-Hill who was the registered owner of the SUV.

Further information revealed the SUV was driving in a dangerous manner in the moments leading up to the collision.

McLean-Hill has been charged with both dangerous and impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was released from custody with a future court date.

The black 2017 GMC Yukon struck the corner of the house May 21 on Ridgeway Road between Erie Road and Graeber Avenue.

It caused significant damage and the home was deemed no longer safe to live in by Fort Erie Fire Services personnel.
