Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to make inappropriate physical contact with a hotel employee in Niagara Falls.

Investigators say on Friday, a man entered a hotel in the area of Stanley Avenue and Dixon Street and approached a female employee.

The man attempted to make inappropriate physical contact with the woman – she was able to alert a supervisor and call for assistance.

Shortly after, the man fled the scene in his vehicle and was last seen travelling southbound on Stanley Avenue at 1:18 p.m.

Officers describe the man as a brown 30-year-old in his early 30s that is five-foot-ten to six-feet tall. They add that he has a slender build, short shaved dark hair and a short stubbled beard.

He is described as wearing a black t-shirt, black track pants and black shoes.

The vehicle the man fled in is described as a dark coloured SUV – which police say is possibly an older model Ford Escape – with a rear window covered in duct tape and a missing hub cap on a rear passenger tire.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, ext. 1009638.

Those wishing to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara at 1-800-222-8477 or on their website.
