Police looking for man after gas station theft and confrontation in Hamilton

Hamilton police are looking for a man after a gas station clerk was cut with a sharp object.

Police say a man entered a Pioneer gas station on John Street South near Augusta Street early Monday morning. He took items from the gas station without paying.

The clerk confronted the man outside and he was cut with a sharp object. The clerk did not seek medical attention for the cut.

Officers are looking for a white man in his 20’s. He was wearing a white t-shirt, light-colour shorts, red and white running shoes and a baseball hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
