Police investigate ‘edged weapon’ attack in Hamilton

Hamilton police are investigating after they say a person was attacked with a weapon at a downtown apartment building Sunday evening.

Police were called to a city housing building on Main Street near Hess Street around 9:30 p.m. for reports that someone was attacked with an “edged weapon.”

According to a CHCH news freelancer the weapon used was a hatchet. Police have not confirmed this.

Police say no arrests have been made at this point, and officers haven’t recovered the weapon.
