Police investigate after finding mother and son dead in Brantford home

Brantford police are investigating after a woman and her toddler son were found dead in their Obediah Crescent home Thursday.

Officers say at around 5:15 p.m., they went to the home following a call for service, where they found a 32-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son without vital signs.

They pronounced the two dead at the scene.

Police say there is no threat to public safety and officers are not seeking any suspects in connection with this incident.

Detectives say the incident remains under investigation, and the Office of the Chief Coroner has been notified.

They say out of respect for the family’s privacy, the identity of the dead woman and her son will not be released.
