Niagara police continue to investigate a shooting in Grimsby last November that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man.

Emergency crews responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment building around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 27, 2023, in the area of Concord Place and Windward Drive.

There, they found Jordan James Chu with life-threatening injuries before transporting him to an out-of-region hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

Chu has history with Hamilton police, as he faced a number of assault charges in 2021.

“The family is still struggling, looking for answers as to what happened to their son,” Insp. Steve Magistrale said. “People out there know what happened, and we want them to come forward.”

Investigators are asking the public for any video or dashcam surveillance capturing footage from between 4 p.m and 7 p.m.

Anyone with information is also asked to contact police.
