Police identify boater missing in Sauble River

Ontario Provincial Police have identified a boater missing along the Sauble River outside Owen Sound as Nathan French, 31, from Acton.

Police say their search continues today on a reduced scale. They plan to conduct an aerial sweep of the area using a helicopter tomorrow, saying the swollen river may have subsided enough by then to provide better search conditions.

French was out on the river last Thursday in a dingy but never showed up to meet his brother that night.
