Police are on the hunt for a man they think might be responsible for robbing two separate Hamilton Mountain gas stations.

Both robberies occurred within a week of each other.

No one was injured in either instance.

The first occurred on Oct. 18, 2023, when a man in a green sweater walked into the Pioneer Gas Bar on Upper Gage Avenue and Crockett Street.

He approached the counter while brandishing a gun and demanded money from the cashier. He took off from the scene on foot and headed southbound down Upper Gage Avenue.

Several days later, a similar incident occurred at another gas station.

On Oct. 27, a man wearing the same outfit as before entered the Shell Gas Station on Fennell Avenue East and Upper Ottawa Street. This time, the robber brandished a large knife while making a demand for money. He took off from the scene on foot and headed westbound on Fennell Avenue East.

Both times, the robbery made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities say they are urgently seeking public assistance in tracking this man down.

He’s described as a man who stands between five-foot-nine and six-foot. He has a larger, muscular build.

He wore a green sweater, dark pants, black shoes, a white medical mask, a black baseball hat, work gloves, and a black backpack in both instances.
