Toronto police have arrested and charged four teenagers following a TTC shooting with a BB gun on a subway Thursday.

Officers received reports of the incident at York University’s subway station before noon.

The force says the passenger was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say two 15-year-old boys, one 15-year-old girl, and one 16-year-old boy have been charged.

Just hours after a group of teens allegedly shot a subway passenger with a BB gun, the Chief of Toronto Police announced that 80 officers will be placed throughout the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to reduce crimes and enhance public safety.

The TTC has seen multiple cases of violence this week.

In recent days, a 16-year-old victim and a woman were stabbed in a TTC vehicle, two uniformed TTC workers were assaulted on their way to work and a TTC driver was shot with a BB gun.
