Police charge 15-year-old boy in Niagara Falls stabbing

Niagara police have charged a 15-year-old boy following a stabbing on Sunday evening.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 6:30 p.m. in a home on Simcoe St. near St. Lawrence Ave. in Niagara Falls.

Police found two 16-year-old boys, one suffering from minor stab wounds and the other suffering from serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe one of the victims had run from a suspect to a friend’s house on Simcoe St. The suspect caught him on the porch and assaulted him. The second victim got out of the house and was cut by the suspect with a knife.

Officers say the victims and suspect were known to each other.

The 15-year-old Niagara Falls boy was arrested around 8 p.m. at a home on Chrysler St. He is facing three charges, including assault with a weapon.
