Halton police say a driver in Oakville was caught going 45 km/h over the posted speed limit on Thursday morning.

Police said in an X that the driver was caught going 105km/h in a 60 km/h zone and called them a “stunt driver.”

Stunt driving in Ontario is excessive speeding, street racing, contests and engaging in dangerous driving practices in a motor vehicle.

Police have suspended the driver’s licence for a month and impounded their vehicle for two weeks. The driver also has to appear in court for five charges.
