Police appeal to public after shots fired in Halton Hills

Halton police are investigating after a report of shots fired in Halton Hills early Tuesday morning and are asking the public for help.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. on Eighth Line, just north of 5 Side Road.

Officers actively worked the scene, and local residents and motorists were advised to stay away while authorities investigated.

Police say the incident is believed to be isolated with no reported injuries and no known threat to public safety.

The road was closed in the morning and reopened around noon.

Anyone with security or dash cam video from the area between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. is asked to contact Halton police at 905-825-4777 ext. 2416.
