A meeting was held at the Hamilton Waterfront Centre last night to go over the new plans to dramatically change Hamilton’s West Harbour.
The city of Hamilton, together with Toronto architect firm Brook McIlroy, are planning to re-design the area where the Discovery Centre, Williams fresh cafe and a skating rink are currently located.
Last night those who live in the neighbourhood had the opportunity speak with those involved in the plan as the city tries to address any questions or concerns, and one of the concerns is around new public transit through the neighbourhood, including the LRT.
The city’s plan is pegged at about $600 million.
