Pet store emptied

Officials are removing more than a dozen animals from the exotic pet store below the apartment where two boys were killed by an African rock python.

It could take two days to safely remove the 16 animals from the Reptile Ocean Store in Campbelton, New Brunswick.
That’s the number of animals the shop *did not* have permits for.

There are four large American alligators, six crocodiles, some tortoises, turtles and snakes.

Most will be going to the Indian River Reptile Zoo in Ontario.

Bruce Dougan is the manager of another zoo in Moncton. He’s been inside the shop and is helping with the removal.
