Mike Duffy investigation broadens

The RCMP are trying to get their hands on credit card and bank account records as they investigate Mike Duffy’s senate expense claims.

They’ve filed new court documents asking the Royal Bank and CIBC to hand them over. The RCMP also want a copy of Duffy’s mortgage records and a list of all his address changes since he became a senator.

Duffy is being investigated after the Prime Minister’s former Chief of Staff wrote him a personal cheque for $90-thousand to cover ineligible living expenses.

The Mounties believe Duffy committed breach of trust by filing inappropriate travel and housing expense claims.
