The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested one person who barricaded themselves in a home near Hagersville on Friday.
The incident started shortly after 11 a.m. when police went to a home on Indian Line Rd. to execute a warrant.
The person then barricaded themselves inside the house, causing the police to close multiple roads nearby.
Officers arrested the individual shortly after 8 p.m. Police say there were no injuries and no charges have been laid in this ongoing investigation.
Police asked people to stay away from Indian Line Rd. and Concession 15 Walpole due to an “active incident.” They also warned residents in the area about the large police presence.
In a tweet shortly before 4 p.m., officers say there is no longer a threat to public safety.
