A Pekingese from Norfolk County is top dog at the Canadian Kennel Club’s national championship, which was held in Mississauga over the weekend.
A dog named Prince took top honours in the toy division and went on to win best in show.
The Royal Canin Crown Classic National Championship Dog Show took place at the International Centre in Mississauga over the weekend, which saw around 814 dogs, representing 135 breeds from across the country.
He picked up $5,000 in prize money for his owner Cynthia Dyson of Wilsonville, which is near Waterford and south of Brantford.
Reserve best in show went to a miniature American Shepherd named Rambo, taking home a $1,000 prize for their owner Kelli Rettie from Thamesford, near London.
Look for Prince in the ring at the Westminster Kennel Club show in New York in February.
