Hamiltonians were in for a delight when members of the Paris Port Dover Pipe Band teamed up with Sir Paul McCartney Friday night.
They accompanied the former Beatle for ‘Mull of Kintyre’, which was written by McCartney and Denny Laine for the English-American rock band Wings.
It’s actually the fourth time the pipe band has played with McCartney, thanks to a connection made years ago through a Brantford business owner and Beatles fan.
The pipe band’s founder told The Simcoe Reformer that McCartney shook each band member’s hand as he arrived at TD Coliseum.
The pipe band came out during the encore, and got to spend the full show behind the stage.
