Man in critical condition after being struck in Niagara Falls

Niagara Regional Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck late Friday night.

It happened on Ferry St. at Main St. in Niagara Falls around 10:55 p.m.

Police say a 55-year-old man from St. Catharines was crossing Ferry St. when he was struck.

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to an out of town hospital.

A 54-year-old Niagara Falls man was driving the vehicle. Police say he was not injured.

Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating.
