Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Ancaster

Hamilton police say a female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Wilson Street West near the Tin Cups Sports Grill restaurant in Ancaster Saturday evening.

Officers say the person who was hit was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They have not disclosed any information on the type of vehicle involved in the collision, or details on the female pedestrian.

Detectives have closed Wilson Street West between Portia and Mason Drives while they investigate, and say that a heavy police presence will be in the area for the time being.

Police posted on X just after 6 p.m. that they had closed the road from Portia to Mason Drives.
