Pedestrian killed in parking lot collision in Milton

Halton police are investigating after a car hit and killed a man in a Milton parking lot.

Police say the collision happened in a lot adjacent to a Scotiabank on Scott Boulevard near Derry Road.

The driver of the car remained at the scene after the pedestrian was hit.

The public was asked to avoid the area while the police’s collision reconstruction unit investigated.

The road reopened shortly after 3 p.m. and a police presence remained in the parking lot throughout the afternoon.
