Niagara police have arrested a Niagara Falls man they say is responsible for sending a man to hospital with life threatening injuries in St. Catharines.
The collision happened on Jan. 8 in the area of Church and Calvin streets in St. Catharines.
Officers say a pedestrian was hit by a car and the car did not remain at the scene.
This prompted an investigation that lasted eight months, with detectives arresting 33-year-old Darsh Gill on Aug. 8.

Police have charged Gill with failure to stop causing bodily harm.
The accused was held for his bail hearing and then released with a future court date.
Detectives are still appealing for witnesses of this collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1008389.
