When you’re in a sport where everyone’s watching you and it’s all on you, it’s a lot harder to give up points and you kind of find a mental toughness where you don’t want to lose so you just don’t give up, ever because it’s just so horrible and hard to lose in front of so many people.”
Parks, the defending champion and top seed, won her first match on a decision, and has moved on to the gold medal match. along with putting her title on the line, a trip to the world juniors in thailand is waiting for division winners.
Tomorrow the senior wrestlers take over the mats at Brock’s Walker sports complex.
