Panhandler attacked

A panhandler who asked a man for a dollar was attacked and hit with a table in downtown Toronto.

Police say a man got upset, when he was approached by a 58 year old panhandler Wednesday morning at Yonge-Dundas square.

The man threw a bistro table at the panhandler and a leg from the table hit him in the eye.

A 40 year old man has been charged with aggravated assault.
