Overnight fire erupts after vehicle crashes into Etobicoke fireworks store

Toronto police say a vehicle crashed into a fireworks store in Etobicoke, igniting a blaze that sent fireworks shooting into the air as crews battled the flames.

It happened shortly before 1 a.m. Monday at Phatboy Fireworks in the area of Albion Road and Highway 27.

Officers say both the vehicle and store caught fire.

No one was found inside the vehicle and no injuries have been reported.

Roads in the area are blocked for the investigation.
