OPP West Region reports attending to 162 crashes in 26 hours

Ontario provincial police posted on X Friday morning that in the span of 26 hours this week they responded to 162 collisions.

At just before 9:30 a.m. officers posted on social media that between 7 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday members of OPP’s west region team responded to 162 crashes.

OPP says the most serious crash occurred on Highway 401 westbound between Putnam and Culloden Roads in Oxford County where one person received serious, non-life threatening injuries.
