OPP searching for repeat offender who may be in Milton

OPP in Kitchener, Ont. say they are looking for a repeat offender on a Canada-wide warrant who is known to frequent the Milton area.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is looking for is seeking 29-year-old Evan Haney for a breach of his statutory release.

Haney is described as Indigenous male, 5 ’11” (180cm), 195 lbs (88 kgs) with brown hair and hazel/green eyes.

He wears thick, rimmed glasses with a green/blue strap. He has several tattoos.

Haney is serving a two-year and three month sentence for:

-Break and Enter (three counts)
-Theft Under $5000
-Disguise with Intent (two counts)
-Assault with a Weapon
-Fraud Under $5000
-Fail To Comply with Order

Police say Haney is also known to frequent Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge areas.

He also has ties in the Province of Newfoundland.
