OPP recover body of missing swimmer

OPP have recovered the body of a missing swimmer from Port Burwell provincial park.

25-year-Daniel Sosa-Zerebecka of St. Catharines was found about 13 kilometres east of Port Burwell provincial park off of Lake Erie.

OPP say shortly before 2 p.m on Saturday, two people were swimming in Lake Erie when they became distressed. Two other people jumped into the water to help but also found themselves struggling. A fifth person saw what was happening and threw a life-saving ring that was on the beach and brought three people ashore. Daniel was not found.

OPP are are thanking the good Samaritans.
