The OPP have charged one of their own with impaired driving.

Constable Matthew Chorney is due in court next month to face the charges, which also include failing to produce a breath sample and two counts related to drug possession.

Police say the charges stem from an investigation that started after a single vehicle accident in Essa Township last weekend.
