Ontario woman attacked by black bear while walking dog

A woman from Sault. Ste. Marie is recovering after a she was attacked by a mother black bear.
Police say the woman was walking her dog around 11 p.m. Saturday on Old Goulais Bay Rd. when she came across the mother bear and her cubs.
The woman was attacked by the bear and suffered several puncture wounds to her back and cuts to her head.
Family members responded to calls for help and the bears ran off.
The woman was transported to Sault Area Hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
