Ontario is reporting 848 new COVID-19 cases Friday and 11 more deaths related to the virus.
The province said six of the deaths occurred more than a month ago.
The data is based on more than 28,247 tests completed on the previous day.
The province says 35,844 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24-hour period for a total of more than 21 million.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 84.1 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have received one dose and nearly 77.7 per cent have two doses.
There are currently 177 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illnesses and 113 on ventilators.
The province says of those in hospital, 264 are unvaccinated individuals, 25 are partially vaccinated and 44 are fully vaccinated.
Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least seven are in an outbreak including R. H. Lawson Eventide Home in Niagara Falls and Hampton Terrace Care Centre in Burlington.
An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
