Ontario reports 1,258 COVID-19 cases, 28 deaths

Ontario reports 1,258 cases of COVID-19 and 28 deaths on Friday.
This comes as the province completed 64,049 tests. The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were performed, is 2.3 per cent.
Another 1,007 cases have been marked as resolved.
Ontario is reporting 1,258 cases of #COVID19 and over 64,000 tests completed. Locally, there are 362 new cases in Toronto, 274 in Peel and 104 in York Region.
As of 6:00 p.m. yesterday, 643,765 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

The province says it administered another 21,805 vaccine doses for a total of 643,765 doses as of 8 p.m. on Thursday.
There are 258,014 people who have received both vaccine doses and are fully vaccinated.
There are now 477 cases of the B.1.1.7 lineage of the virus, first reported in the U.K., up from the 449 cases reported on Thursday.
Cases of the B.1.351 strain, first reported in South Africa, is now at 14.
There are two cases of the P.1 strain first reported in Brazil.
There are 683 patients hospitalized with COVID-19. There are 284 people in ICU and 193 of them are on ventilators.
