Ontario reported 1,185 cases of COVID-19 and six deaths on Tuesday.
The daily case numbers come on 33,264 tests. The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were done, is 3.7 per cent.
The province says it administered 31,047 vaccine since the last report. As of 8 p.m. Monday, a total of 943,533 doses have been given.
There are 276,193 people who have received both required doses.
Another 972 cases were marked as resolved.
There are now 908 cases of the B.1.1.7 lineage of the virus, first reported in the U.K. That’s up from the 879 cases reported on Monday.
Cases of the B.1.351 strain first reported in South Africa and the P.1 strain, first reported in Brazil, remain steady at 39 and 17 respectively.
There are 689 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the province. There are 290 in intensive care and 184 of them are on ventilators.
A total of 7,083 people have died. Nearly 55 per cent of those deaths were reported in residents of long-term care.
