Ontario doctors deal

The Province has reached a tentative, 4 year deal with doctors.
It includes annual increases to the budget for doctors’ services but doesn’t include the amount of the increases.
It also includes funding for hiring more doctors and improving access to primary care physicians. Details will be made public once the agreement is ratified in August.
Despite the tentative agreement, the Ontario Medical Association is still going ahead with a charter challenge against the Province.
It’s asking the Ontario Superior Court to strike down the Health Ministry’s unilateral fee cuts to doctors last year.
