One week after gruesome discovery, shock remains

There were tears and grief at a memorial service in Brantford Wednesday.

Friends, former students and colleagues of Audrey Gleave remembered her at a memorial service. They were honoring the former schoolteacher found brutally stabbed in her home last week. Some are still in shock over the murder which police have described as horrific.

As for the murder investigation itself, Hamilton Police Staff Sergeant Steve Hrab says investigators are going through evidence they collected from the murder scene, and sorting through the leads from the public. “We’ve had a number of calls, where people have called with a bunch of different situations they felt would be important for us to look at, so we’ve got quite a bit of work ahead of us right now.”

There have been no arrests so far.
