One man dead after single vehicle collision in Milton

Halton police say one man has died after a single vehicle collision in Milton Saturday morning.

Authorities say the accident happened around 6:50 a.m. in the area of Lower Base Line, just east of Tremaine Road.

A red Ford pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Lower Base Line when it left the roadway, colliding into a concrete retaining overpass wall.

The man sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
