One man charged following Thorold house fire

Niagara police have arrested and charged one man with arson in connection with a June 19 house fire in Thorold.

At approximately 6 p.m. last Thursday, emergency crews arrived at a home on Devine Crescent after receiving reports of a fire.

Officials say all occupants were able to evacuate the residence. One person was treated for burn injuries.

Due to the nature of the fire, detectives deemed the fire suspicious.

On June 20, officers arrested the property owner, 29-year-old Navdeep Singh, and charged him with one count of arson.
