One man arrested, one still on the loose after foot pursuit in Oakville

Police arrested 22 year old Keerthan Mangaleswaran, from Mississauga, has been charged with eight  counts after breaking into Budds Auto Dealer in Oakville.

He has been charged with:

– Break and enter
– Wear disguise with intent
– Possession of break in instruments
– Possession of property obtained by crime
– Escape lawful custody
– Dangerous driving
– Flight while pursued by police
– Theft of motor vehicle

Halton police were called to investigate an alarm call, at Budds Auto Dealer on South Service Road West just before one yesterday morning . Once they arrived, two people fled the scene and drove off in a cargo truck. The truck was found in a ditch near Trafalgar and the QEW shortly after. Both passengers had fled the truck. The K9 unit was called to help locate the two people.

The police are still looking for the second man.
