Officials confirm 20 salmonella cases linked to Stoney Creek restaurant

The City of Hamilton says there are 20 confirmed salmonella cases as of Monday linked to an outbreak at a Stoney Creek Mountain restaurant.

A city spokesperson also notes that there are 57 probable cases under investigation.

Piper Arms on Stone Church Road East has been temporarily closed since April 13 as a result of the outbreak.

Officials say no specific food item has been confirmed as the source of the illness at this time.

A spokesperson for Piper Arms Stoney Creek has said it is fully cooperating with Hamilton Public Health’s investigation.
